Editorial policy

A11y Lens publishes accessibility education, testing tools, and standards references for practical use. This policy explains how content is created, reviewed, updated, and corrected.

Who publishes the content

A11y Lens is published by the A11y Lens Editorial Team, based in India, for global web teams, accessibility practitioners, designers, developers, and QA teams.

The site covers digital accessibility, WCAG implementation, accessibility testing, assistive technology considerations, inclusive design, and disability-centered editorial topics.

How articles are reviewed

Technical guidance is checked against primary sources whenever possible, including W3C WCAG material, WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices, ADA guidance, Section 508 resources, and official vendor documentation.

Articles are reviewed for practical usefulness, clear limitations, respectful disability language, working internal links, and visible update dates before publication.

Updates and corrections

Pages are updated when standards, implementation patterns, source links, or tool behavior change. Each article displays an updated date so readers can judge freshness.

Readers can request a correction for factual errors, unclear wording, inaccessible content, broken links, or missing attribution. Valid corrections are handled through the contact channel and applied to the relevant page.

Advertising independence

Advertising does not influence WCAG mappings, tool results, article conclusions, accessibility recommendations, or source selection. Ads, when enabled, must remain distinguishable from editorial content and must not block access to tools, navigation, or primary page content.

Important limitations

A11y Lens provides educational and technical accessibility information. It is not legal advice, does not replace a full manual accessibility audit, and does not guarantee compliance with any law, procurement rule, or certification program.
